Amiram Levinberg Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer Amiram Levinberg is a co-founder of Gilat and returned to the Company in 2005 as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Levinberg previously held positions as Gilat’s President, Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Levinberg served in a research and development unit of the Israeli Defense Force (1977-1987) and was awarded the Israel Defense Award in 1988.
Mr. Levinberg holds an MSc. in Digital Communications and a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa.
Mr. Levinberg also serves on the Boards of Cardboard Industries and Kargal, a cardboard manufacturer in Israel, and Kasamba, an internet company offering online expert professional advice.
> MoreHaim Benjamini Director Haim Benjamini is an external director of the Company and a member of the Company’s audit and compensation committees. Mr. Benjamini is currently an advisor to Teva’s CEO, Board and management. He served as the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (1988-2004) and as the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources at Scitex Corporation (1982-1988). Mr. Benjamini served (1997-2003) as a guest lecturer at Tel Aviv University with the Masters of Arts program in Labor Studies. Mr. Benjamini is a Brigadier General (Ret) in the Israel Defense Force and served in various command staff and training roles (1957-1982).
Mr. Benjamini holds an MA in Organizational Behavior from the University of Chicago and a BA in Social Sciences, Sociology and Political Science from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. > MoreJeremy Blank Director Jeremy Blank is a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Blank is currently the sole principal of J Blank Management Ltd, a company which provides advisory services to York Capital Management (“York”). He was previously a Vice President of York, a private investment fund based in New York with approximately $7.5 billion in assets under management and which specializes in value oriented and event driven equity and credit investments. Prior to York, Mr. Blank worked as a Vice President within Morgan Stanley's fixed income department and earlier in his career in Morgan Stanley's mergers and acquisitions department.
Mr. Blank holds a BA in Finance from Yeshiva University in New York City. > MoreDr. Ehud Ganani Director Dr. Ehud Ganani is a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Ganani, in addition to his position on Gilat’s Board, serves as Chairman of the Boards of Trace Guard Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:TCGD) and DefenSoft Ltd, both in the security and defense markets. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Israel Military Industries (2002-2005). Prior to that he served in various senior positions in Rafael Armament Development Authority, the last of which was as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development (1997-2002).
Dr. Ganani holds a Doctorate of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa. > MoreDr. Leora Meridor Director Dr. Leora Meridor is an external director of the Company and is Chair of the Company’s audit and compensation committees. Dr. Meridor is a business and financial consultant and serves on the boards of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and Nice Systems. She has served as Chair of the Board at Bezeq International, Walla Communications Ltd. and Poalim Capital Markets Ltd. Between 1996 and 2000 she served as Senior Vice President, Head of Credit & Risk Mgmt. Div. of the First International Bank. She served as Head of Research at the Bank of Israel (1992-1996).
Dr. Meridor has a PhD in Economics, an MSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, all from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. > MoreKaren Sarid Director Karen Sarid is a member of the Board’s audit and compensation committees. Ms. Sarid also serves as a Director at Oridion Ltd. (SWXNM: ORIDN), and as a Director and as Chair of the audit committee at LanOptics (NASDAQ: LNOP). Since September 2000, she has been General Manager of Orex Computed Radiography Ltd., a Kodak Company focusing on advanced radiography systems for the digital x-ray market. Ms. Sarid served as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors (1999-2000) of Forsoft Ltd., a software solutions provider and a subsidiary of the Formula Group and Ms. Sarid was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors (1996-1999) of ESC Medical Systems Ltd., a medical laser manufacturer traded on the NASDAQ. She was Chief Financial Officer (1993-1996) of LanOptics Ltd.
Ms. Sarid was awarded CFO of the Year in 1998 by the Association of Chief Financial Officers in Israel, and received a BA in Economics and Accounting from Haifa University. > MoreIzhak Tamir Director Izhak Tamir is a member of the Board’s audit and compensation committees. Mr. Tamir has been chairman of the Board of Directors of Tickro Technologies Ltd. since January 2000 and Chief Executive Officer since August 2003. He has also served as a Director of Scopus Video Networks since 2005. Mr. Tamir has also been President and a Director of Orckit (NASDAQ: ORCT), a leading provider of advanced telecom equipment targeting high capacity packetized broadband services, since its founding in 1990. Mr. Tamir was employed by Comstream Inc., in San Diego, California (1987-1989) and was Vice President of A.T. Communication Channels Ltd., a subsidiary of Bezeq (1987-1989).
Mr. Tamir holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University and engineering degree from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa. > MoreRachel Prishkolnik Corporate Secretary Rachel Prishkolnik is the Gilat Corporate Secretary. Rachel Prishkolnik previously served as Gilat Legal Counsel. Prior to Gilat, she worked at the law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP in Los Angeles. Before that, Ms. Prishkolnik worked at Kleinhendler & Halevy in Tel Aviv.
Ms. Prishkolnik holds an LLB law degree from the Faculty of Law at the Tel Aviv University and a Bachelors of Arts from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She is licensed to practice law and is a member of the Israeli Bar.
