Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT) is a leading provider of products and services for satellite-based broadband communication. Gilat designs and manufactures a wide range of high-performance satellite communications products and VSAT systems, with an increasing focus on Cellular Backhaul, Enterprise, Consumer and Mobility market segments. In addition, Gilat enables mobile SOTM (Satcom-on-the-Move) solutions by providing low-profile antennas, next generation solid-state power amplifiers, and specialized modems.

Gilat is looking for General Manager in South East and North Asia to capitalize on its current successes and exploit the business opportunities within the region.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in Sales, Business Development and experience in selling to service providers, MNOs and telco operators, systems integrators, government agencies, and users. The person will have strong experience in VSAT systems and modem technology, and a good understanding of satellite communication standards.

The position may be based in Singapore, Philippines or Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and initiate the development of programs and other projects in the SATCOM solutions and products area
  • Develop relationships with C level in order to develop and bring to closure strategic service business
  • Develop the company capture strategy and execute it in concert with the company’s leadership
  • Orchestrate and mobilize the company’s internal resources to execute the account capture strategy.
  • Orchestrate and mobilize external resources and third parties (e.g. prime contractors, contact vehicles) to execute the account capture strategy
  • Own, deliver, and be measured on a P&L, booking, revenue, and EBIT
  • Manages the territory day to day activities and resources
  • Manage the Sale organization including goals and on-going follow-ups
  • Develop and mentor others in structuring strategic deals
  • Instill sale strategies, tools, and disciplines to execute sales effectively
  • The proxy market needs into the product management
  • Leverage product management to improve market penetration

Requirements:

  • 10 years or more experience in business development and capture effort of major Telecom /Mobile market. Experience in SATCOM.
  • Track record of initiating programs, leading the capture effort, and bringing to a closure major program ($10M and above) .
  • Experience working through contract vehicles.
  • Experience working with Telecom/MNOs .
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  • Management experience.
  • A self-starter with motivation and agile approach.
