Gilat Satellite Networks is looking to hire a self-starting and highly motivated Senior Sales Director to lead US Government sales and business development activities. The individual will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities and growing new business with the US Department of Defense, US Government agencies, state and local government markets. Gilat products and solutions include TDMA hub systems, VSAT modems, SCPC modems, COTM and UAS antenna systems, for fixed and mobile applications.

Ideal candidate will have experience as a federal employee or military member of DoD or Intelligence Community and have proven track record of outreach to the military, intelligence communities and defense contractors. Position may be based out of either the Washington D. C. area or anywhere in the CONUS and will report to the Regional Vice President for North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Using personal and acquired contacts aggressively pursue new business opportunities with US Government and Defense market
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers with the end users and systems integrators
  • Develop partnerships and sales channels to assist with sales efforts; identify teaming and subcontracting opportunities
  • Maintain active sales pipeline and opportunities forecast
  • Participate and attend relevant trade shows and industry events
  • Identify the needs and new market requirements and provide feedback to the engineering team
  • Provide activity reports as required
  • Travel as required

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of sales management experience with demonstrated success with US government and defense customer base
  • Current relationship with decision makers (end users and indirect channels); understanding of strategic directions and major government programs
  • Thorough understanding of complex government processes and procedures
  • Strong understanding of satellite communications products including TDMA hub systems, SCPC modems, COTM and UAS antennas
  • Good understanding of fixed, COTM and aero applications and requirements
  • US Citizenship a must
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, Masters preferred
