Satellite-on-the-move (SOTM) is the only technology capable of meeting the connectivity challenges of military and homeland security operations. Reliable, continuous and quickly deployable broadband communications are critical requirements for C4I and border patrol missions, as well as widespread backup communications for first responders and rescue operations.
Gilat’s RaySat SR71 is an extremely small, lightweight 2-way antenna system that enables real-time broadband satcom connectivity for voice and data services. Based on our innovative, market-leading satellite communications technologies, RaySat SR71 excels in both on-the-move and on-the-pause communications. Its compact footprint and minimal SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) is ideal for quick and easy installation on smaller land vehicles.
The RaySat SR71 antennas feature an advanced flat panel array, which covers both Rx and Tx bands. The antenna features multiple onboard tracking sensors, which enable accurate tracking, shortest initial acquisition and instantaneous re-acquisition time after signal loss.
The SR71 can be deployed as part of a complete integrated SOTM terminal – consisting of the antenna, a Gilat BUC and a Gilat military-grade MLT1000 modem – controlled by a unified management system. Integration with Gilat’s special-purpose SOTM modem allows for operation in low SNR conditions. When integrated with 3rd-party modems, the antenna is supplied with an Antenna Control Unit (ACU).
